Sandfly Fever

Viral infection from sand fly bites. Most sand flies are active between dusk and dawn, and have a very limited flight range. Transmission likely occurs primarily from May through October. Risk is likely greatest during the spring and summer.

Travellers should take measures to prevent sandfly bites.
