Brucellosis

This bacterial infection is mostly a disease affecting cattle, pigs, camels, bison, goats, sheep and dogs.  It is transmitted to humans through the consumption of unpasteurized milk and dairy products, especially fresh cheeses made from goat or sheep milk, and through direct contact with infected livestock. It is an occupational disease of agricultural workers, veterinarians, abattoir workers.  Avoid unpasteurized milk and milk products and contact with infected animals animals.
